| Sleep is dear to me and being of stone is dearer,
as long as injury and shame endure.
Not to see or hear is a great boon to me,

I wish I'm asleep. I wish what I heard is only good news, that
everyone is happy and healthy, what they do is not selfish and they do
no harm to me. No heartbreaking no temper-raging.No enemies.
However, sad news is inevitable, no escape. I know things on a
need-to-know basis, but still it hurts me so. Slowly, I feel
something is happening, when tragic words strikes me, I become more
sober. I almost jumped to a conclusion that they actually make sense, and I can
work something out from it.

這是一個開始。
早有開 blog 的打算, 結果就如我許多個 fun making projects 一樣被押後/擱置。正好工作變得較悠閒, 不拖了。雖然不算得上是甚麼, 但這個 layout 已用盡了我僅有的技術。
很喜愛非音樂, 實至名歸的非一般國內音樂雜誌。從內容, 選稿, 排版, 字款到紙質都喜歡。整體感覺只能說是「粗糙」,就連彩圖都受到粗紙的影響而帶有色差, 但在內容上的精闢的襯托下,這份「粗糙」又變得格外高尚。這是一個 budget 很有限的文字傳媒, 就像香港的MCB, 減一份袁志聰的自以為是, 減一份擁護者的自我價值澎漲, 加一份對分享的渴望。就是因為沒有錢, 才爛得起, 換轉是其他財雄勢大的出版社, 亦只會弄出一個扮地下, 懶粗糙的 gimmick。
因工作見過非音樂資深寫手邱大立, skin head 背心短褲涼鞋, 手執西瓜一塊, 口袋插著鉛筆與不知名卡通公仔記事簿, 笑容親切。Stay True, Love Music, 未必要花千二兼排隊買一條限量 Levi's Red。邱大立的文字, 我坦言一輩子也比不上。
這個 blog 的格式和背景, 就是參考非音樂2002八月號的感覺去做, 是抄襲, 也是 tribute.

懷舊的詭計

有否察覺香港樂壇的怪現象﹖很多老牌歌手/靚聲王復活了。
香港唱片巨人裁員近三分一，無數員工被減薪，意味著本地唱片業是一潭死水。
商人直斥MP3是殺死本地唱片的元兇。無容置疑，非法下載之濫，有目共睹。
但此話並非是實的全部。
年輕人知識產權意識薄弱，首當其衝的便是以這類聽眾為主要對象的流行偶像唱
片業-----亦即香港樂壇的大多數。是否青少年開始不滿偶像歌手唱功差，不是兒
歌類型就是膚淺的情歌﹖非也，看看紅館仍然爆show，便有答案。
青少年本來消費力強，在經濟低迷時仍願消費，但偶像的產量極高，唱片質數極
低，聰明的消費者當然會選擇免費下載。但為了觀看賣弄外表的偶像歌手，則仍
然願意花費看其live的棟篤笑/換衫/感動落淚的演出。這些均無法下載。
唱片公司高層是食腦份子，當然有計。推出一系列舊人舊歌精選大碟，還拍心口
說抵買兼夾靚聲。這些唱片以較年長的人為主，除了唱片印刷，和甚麼24k黃金
白金混音以外，製作成本近乎零。說實，很多舊歌也是誠意之作，多好歌。中年
音樂愛好者追求高質素，版權意識也較強。不願花時間下載，或不懂下載，故暢銷。
舊人終有一天完全用盡，下一步如何﹖我不是食腦人，無法解答。但放眼主流唱
片業開始嘗試引入「新元素」」，如Hip-Hop，R
n’B，Punk
Rock，Trance
等等，再配合一些外國名創作人，渴望帶來衝擊。但知其形而不知意，仍然走不
出「外表優先」這本地主流音樂模式。香港唱片業，我不擔心，因活該。
有危必有機，也許這是一向弱勢的獨立樂隊/創作人的一個生機。明天電台播放甚
麼音樂，可能就取決於你。
